Beretta is a 43 lb purebred Border Collie with a beautiful medium-length, wavy coat and a sweet, people-oriented personality. She's affectionate, biddable, and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, from little 10 lb companions to 130 lb giants! While she enjoys other dogs, her favorite place is still alongside her person.

One of the qualities I appreciate most about Beretta is her resilience. She has a gentle, softer temperament but is remarkably willing to work through unfamiliar or challenging situations. Rather than shutting down or avoiding something she's unsure about, she places a great deal of trust in her person and looks to them for guidance. She also shows some nice natural instincts around livestock on her hobby farm, with interest and intensity toward goats and sheep without being overly pushy or rushing in. While she hasn't had formal herding training, she enjoys being involved in farm life.

At home, Beretta has a great off-switch and is an easy dog to live with. She's not much of a barker, enjoys entertaining herself with toys or settling down with a chew, and doesn't need constant attention to be content. She has a wonderful balance of natural ability, resilience, and companionship that I really value in a dog.
